Louise is a largely self-taught photographer whose interest began in childhood when given an old camera to use on family holidays.

The interest remained but took a back seat whilst her studies at home and across Europe took priority.  Her passion for recording the world around her was re-kindled when she was given her first digital camera, and found immediacy of the result it provided suited her impetuous nature.

Louise is inspired by her other passion - gardening.  Flowers featuring heavily in her work,  favouring detailed shots and drawing influence from the images of Georgia O’Keeffe and Robert Mapplethorpe.

Louise’s career finds her working for an art publishers which provides her with a constant source of inspiration and stimulus.  “I think that working in the art industry gives me a feel for current trends and new innovations”.
