My interest in photography began when I was a child and given an old camera to use on family holidays. I can recall camping with my Dad in Somerset, taking photos of Wells Cathedral and being so happy with the results. Although my interest took a back seat during my studies at home and across Europe, my camera has never been far from my side.

A whole new world of ideas and opportunites opened up when I was given my first digital camera as a present. I found this medium better suited me as I hate waiting. This in turn led me to my first DSLR which I am still teaching myself to use.

I draw inspiration from another passion in my life; gardening, taking pleasure from being able to see and record the smallest parts of flowers and vegetables, and showing their often overlooked beauty.
